Enterprise and Supplier Development

We seek to create economic value for employees, stakeholders and society at large through job creation and investing in the productive capacity of the economy. This includes dedicated support for training, as well as enterprise and supplier development. The success of entrepreneurs and small businesses play a pivotal role in boosting local economies, fostering job opportunities, and driving innoation. It’s essentail that we actively support them throughout our supply chain to ensure continued success.

Tujenge Cooperative - Let's Build
The Tujenge Cooperative (meaning “let’s build"), comprised of 19 owner employees has been supplying Kamoa-Kakula with bricks since 2018. Through ongoing spport and skill development the business has expanded and will be ramping up employment to almost double.

Kamoa-Kakula Banana Plantation - Ndizi Salama
In 2022, the Kamoa-Kakula livelihoods banana plantation, a project designed to support female entrepreneurship, commenced its operations. The initiative, known as "Ndizi Salama," currently employs 26 women from local communities as full-time owner-workers.
